Piadina with Grilled Chicken, Mozzarella and Sun-dried Tomatoes

Piadina with Grilled Chicken, Mozzarella and Sun-dried Tomatoes - The Piadina romagnola, from being a rural dish, has become a true symbol of authenticity in Italy: accompanied and filled with the excellent cured meats of our territories, it is a dish that is truly impossible to resist and that lends itself to satisfying everyone's tastes. Well-known chef and restaurateur Paul Bartolotta has defined the Piadina as Italy's defence against fast food: it is quick to make but at the same time is a real food with a cultural past. It used to be homemade with water, flour, salt, yeast and olive oil or suet to replace bread and was eaten without filling. Today it can be found ready-made in all Italian supermarkets and makes it possible to prepare quick dishes effortlessly, without sacrificing genuine, quality flavours.

 Ingredients

 Quantity

 Piadina Fresco Piada USA

 2

 Chicken Breast

 7 oz.

 Mozzarella

 6 oz.

 Sun-dried Tomatoes

 3,5 oz.

 Mayonnaise

 q.s.

Step 1

To prepare the Piadina with Grilled Chicken breast, Mozzarella cheese and Sun-dried Tomatoes, start by grilling the chicken breasts. After doing so, cut them into slices. Slice the mozzarella and put everything you need to fill the Piadina into the appropriate bowls.

Step 2

Take a frying pan and place it on the stove over medium heat. In the already hot pan, heat the Piadina for about a minute on each side. Once this is done, it is time to fill the Piadina with our ingredients: mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken slices and sun-dried tomatoes.

NOTE: fill with ingredients that can be heated directly on the pan (meat, cheese) and wait 30-60 seconds. For ingredients that do not need to be heated, add them after removing the Piadina from the pan.
